Fans of The Idolmaster should be fairly familiar with some of the new gameplay features I’m about to go over.

In the Live Quest Mode, raising your “Voltage”is the key to clearing a song. By equipping certain accessories and modules, you can activate bonuses that allow you to boost your voltage significantly more than if you didn’t. All accessories, modules, and even songs are classified by different Elements: Neutral, Cute, Cool, Beauty, and Chaos. By having the right things equipped during certain songs, you can get your Voltage to skyrocket.

We also get a new look at some of the modules and their respective Elements. Hatsune Miku V3 is a Neutral module. Astray (?) is a Cool module. Pumpkin Dream is a Chaos module, Pizzicato is a Cute module, and Ambivalence is a Beauty module.

I’m digging these new additions to the game thus far. I always liked how the outfits and accessories had an affect on performances in The Idolmaster, and I’m interested in seeing how this plays out in the new Live Quest Mode in Project Diva X.
, 21 Oct 2015 13:32:51 -0700Project DivaProject Diva XSegaRhythm gameNewsTranslationFamitsuThe Atelier Sophie feature from this week’s Famitsu reveals a...

The Atelier Sophie feature from this week’s Famitsu reveals a few cool new details, not the least of which is the return of one Logy from Atelier Escha & Logy.

The Logy of Atelier Sophie is a bit different from the one in the last game however. Logy is a 24 year old Blacksmith who has traveled throughout the world. He returns home for the first time in a while, and opens up his own shop. His dream is for the weapons he makes to travel throughout the world with their owners. He’s an old pal of Sophie’s.

As always, Pamela is around, and the sister at a local church. She also runs a nursery school, and is pretty much famous throughout the town. There isn’t a soul there who doesn’t know her name.

We also get some information on the Doll Make system, which functions not unlike from the basic alchemy system. Basically by using certain items to create Plachta’s body, you’ll get different effects on her stats and even change her appearance. Will you choose Plachta’s body-type based on her usefulness in combat, or for the character design?

As noted a ways back, Atelier Sophie has a proper day night cycle. Famitsu goes over a basic in-game day. In the morning, Sophie heads off to gather materials. She arrives at her location at around midday. However, there are also certain materials and monsters that can only be encountered at night, making it worthwhile to go out in the dark. There are also days off which feature special events, and even a weather system which affects which items can be acquired.

I was initially pretty shaky on Atelier Sophie due to the not-so-hot initial character designs, but I’ve since turned around on the whole thing. Now to dig up my copy of Atelier Escha & Logy.
, 21 Oct 2015 13:12:38 -0700Atelier SophieGustKoei TecmoNewsFamitsuScansReview: Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax (Vita)While they’ve existed for decades at this point, light novels are still a relatively new concept in..., 16 Oct 2015 13:25:01 -0700ReviewFighting GameDengekiDengeki Bunko: Fighting ClimaxSegaPS VitaPS3Go West! For example, a warrior will wear heavy armor, a long range class will use light armor, and a magic user will wear magic garbs of some kind.

Classes:

Gunner- Mitsuhide Yasakata is the first one to gain access to the Gunner. Good at responding to multiple combat situations.

Berserker- Namerou Todoroki is the first one to gain access to this class. The Berserker wears light armor and wields a grenade launcher, making it a long range class. It also has good guard abilities, so placing a Fencer in the front of the party as a shield is effective.

Lancer- Ranze Miwakawa first gains access to this class. Short range.
